Bathymetric and geomorphological studies
Bathymetric surveys measure the depths of the sea to determine the topography of the sea floor. Hydrographic depth sounders include side scan, single beam and multibeam equipment. Equipped with a GPS to determine the exact position at all times, the data is processed in an on-board computer and the marine cartography is made.
